Diana GOnzalez-Morett
Diana Gonzalez-Morett is a filmmaker and caregiver advocate whose personal caregiving journey deeply influences her storytelling. As a versatile multi-hyphenate (actor, writer, director, producer, and advocate), she creates Spanglish films that inspire social change and create meaningful impact beyond the screen.
Her acclaimed short, Pedacito de Carne (writer, actor, producer), was selected for the NALIP/Netflix Latino Lens: Women of Color Narrative Short Film Incubator. It premiered at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival, earned a Best Short nomination at the Key West Film Festival, and was showcased by CaringAcross Generations at the Justice Film Festival. Pedacito… has screened at organizations like VSP Vision, Massachusetts General Hospital and The Association of Frontotemporal Dementia (AFTD) to raise awareness about Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), caregiving, and destigmatizing dementia.
In addition to filmmaking, Diana was appointed to the NJ Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Long-Term Advisory Commission under Governor Murphy, is an ambassador for the AFTD, and an expert on the ROON app. Diana received her MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater and has directed several youth theater productions at bergenPAC.
Based in NJ with her loyal dog Lupita, Diana honors her caregiving journey through her work, celebrating the resilience of human connection and the power of storytelling.
Sandra Gonzalez-Morett
Sandra Gonzalez-Morett is a dedicated caregiver, advocate, and creative collaborator with a strong foundation in finance and community service. A proud graduate of Seton Hall University, Sandra brings over a decade of experience in accounts payable, where her precision and dependability have earned her a reputation for excellence.
Sandra's life took a powerful turn when she became the primary caregiver for her mother, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal degeneration (FTD). Through this deeply personal journey, she found purpose in advocacy and now serves as a New Jersey Ambassador for The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD), where she supports families and raises awareness about this little-known but devastating disease.
In addition to her work in finance and caregiving, Sandra is the Associate Producer of Pedacito de Carne, a Netflix-sponsored short film that intimately explores the complexities of caregiving and FTD. Her role in the film underscores her passion for storytelling that fosters understanding, empathy, and change.
Sandra continues to honor her mother's legacy by uplifting others facing similar paths, blending professional expertise with heartfelt advocacy.
