Who we are

We’re Sandra and Diana Lauren Gonzalez-Morett — a.k.a. the Go-Mo Sisters, a name lovingly given to us by our community.

Together, we founded Go-Mo Creatives in 2025, a collaboration rooted in sisterhood, storytelling, and our lived experience as caregivers. In 2017, our beloved mother, Diana Leticia, was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), and everything changed.

Caregiving wasn’t something we planned for — it called us in. We each stepped into unique roles, navigating anticipatory grief, intense burnout, and the weight of juggling caregiving with our careers, relationships, and personal health. We gave up a lot — professionally, financially, emotionally — but what we gained was a kind of love and presence that forever changed us. In caring for our mother, we chose to show up fully, not just for her, but for each other. As hard as it was, it was also a profound gift to be with her in those final years and to care for her in a way that felt deeply intentional and rooted in love.

Go-Mo Creatives is how we now honor that chapter of our lives. Through film, community engagement, and creative storytelling, we work to reduce the stigma around dementia, uplift caregiving stories, and create space for dignity, humor, and connection — even in life’s hardest moments.

Why is our logo a chihuahua?

Because it’s Lupita! A loyal little pup with a big heart. Lupita instinctively stepped into the role of caregiver to us all—without hesitation, judgment, or stigma. To her, dementia wasn’t something to fear or avoid; it was simply part of the love story.

Our logo honors her spirit: small but mighty, joyful, and loving without condition to those she loves.
